Oct. 10, 1959 - Conserved motor noise - latest craze in America It almost looked as though Mercedes Benz wanted to hold a private race on their own testing ground in Stuttgart when, these days, new and old racing cars of the famous Daimler Benz Museum race over that ground. Reason for this rather noisy show were some Americans of the Riverside Record Company who came to Stuttgart only in order to record the latest craze on stereo long-play records. The Americans had that peculiar ides because in very short time, 26000 pieces of a record were sold on which there was the noise of two motor cars, mixed with an interview with Karl Kling.
