1960 - Stirling Moss Banned From Driving - And Fine50: Britain's No. 1 racing driver - Stirling Moss was fined50 - and banned from driving for twelve months when he appeared at the Shropshire Quarter Sessions - He was found Guilty on a charge of Dangerous Driving. The charge arose out of a crash on the Whitchurch to Newport Road in Shropshire on September 29 last year. Moss, in a blue Austin Minicar, was in a head-on collision with a van travelling in the other direction, impact occurred when Moss was on the wrong side of the road.
