Jul. 07, 1960 - Campbell's Bluebird on show. Donald Campbell's new Bluebird car, with which he will make an attempt on the World's Land Speed Record on the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah in September this year, was on display today at the Goodwood motor circuit today. The car, which is powered by a Proteus gas turbine engine, is expected to undergo preliminary low speed trials later this week. The present record stands at 394 m.p.h. set up by John Cobb.
