Jun. 15, 1961 - Phil Read wins T.T. race: 22 year old Phil Read, an engineer of Luton, Beds, yesterday won the Junior TT on the Isle of Man. He rode a Norton the first British Motor cycle to win the 350 cc event for seven years. Read's average speed was 95.1 mph.
