Jul. 07, 1962 - Bluebird makes it comeback: The rebuilt Bluebird cr in which Donald Campbell, 41, plans to attack the world land speed record on thesalt flats of Lake Eyre, Australia, in April next year, made its first public trial run today at Goodwood. The project has cost the 72 Brirtish Companies backing the attempt about million since3 Dec. 1955 At Goodwoo, mr campbell drove with the brakes on nearly all the time. The engine, as used in the Britannia ariliner, develops 2000 horse power. At adling speed it gives 240 h.p. Eight movie cameras are installed in the car.
