Jun. 06, 1960 - John Surtees wins Senior T.T. On the Isle of Man - Smashes all race records.: John Sureees won the Senior T.T. on his four cylinder M.V. Augusta - on the Isle of Man - smashing all race records - with the fantastic speed of 102.44 m.p.h. He has now won the race four times - equaling the record of Stanley Woods of pre war years. He is the first man to win the race three times in succession. he never lapped at less than 100 m.p.h.
