Jan. 01, 1966 - Former World Champion racing driver John Surtees leaves Hospital: Former world champion racing driver John Surtees, 31, today left St. Thomas's Hospital, London, where he has been since September recovering from the injuries he received when crashing at 100 m.p.h during practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. He is to convalesce aboard until march. In the meantime John is optimistic about getting back to the track for this season's Grand Prix. If his doctors approve the chances are that he will drive the new 200 m.p.h three liter cars which the Ferrari team will enter for the world championship.
