Jan. 01, 1966 - Former World Champion Racing Driver John Surtees Leaves Hospital: Former world champion racing driver John Surtess, 31, today left St. Thoma's Hospital, London, where he has been since September recovering from the injuries he received when crashing at 100 m.p.h. during practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. He is to convalesce abroad until march. In the meantime John is optomistic about getting back to the track for this season's Grand Prix. If his doctors approve the chances are that he will drive the new 200 m.p.h. three-litre cars which the Ferarri team will enter for the world championship.
