Aug. 08, 1966 - Camden's Soapbox Derby Held At Crystal Palace; About 200 Camden children, some of their parents and the Mayor of Camden, Councillor L.P. O'Connor, went to the Crystal Palace today to watch or take part in a borough soapbox Derby on the stadium race track. Four play centres were competing, Cumberland Market, Fairfield, Lambale Street and Camden Square Gardens. Each centre were entering four vehicles, all made by the children themselves.
