Aug. 08, 1966 - Camden's Soapbox Derby Held At Crystal Palace; About 200 Camden children, some of there parents and the Mayor of Camden went to the Crystal Palace today to watch or take part in a borough soapbox Derby on the stadium race track.; Four play centers were competing; Cumberland Market, Fairfield, Lamble Street and Camden Square Gardens. Each center were entering four vehicles all made by the children themselves. Photo Shows Blast Off = the start of one of the races, with pushers providing the motive power - at Crystal Palace today
