1968 - 16th East African Safari Starts from Nairobi. The 16th East African Safari was started off from Nairobi on Thursday 11th April by President Kenyatta. Photo shows Mrs Pat Moss Carlsson, meets President Kenyatta before she drove off in her Ronault 16FL. But she had to drop out of the rally as heeligans put boulders about 2feet high on the read she was driving along with her co driver Elizabeth Nystrom, and when they hit it, it broke the driving shaft
