Sep. 21, 1971 - Rocket-Car holding the World record at the Auto-Mechanika 71 in Frankfurt:The fastest vehicle on land in the world.is the rocket-car called Blue Flame, which reached the unbelievable speed of 1001, 667 km/h on the Big Salt Lake in the USA on 23rd October, 1970.(The driver holding this world record is the American Gary Gabelich).The motor of the rocket makes 58000 HP, the 39 ft long vehicle is 6614 Ibs heavy.The super-car can be seen for the first time in Europe, it has been brought to Frankfurt by a special transport plane.The Blue Flame is the biggest sensation of the automechanika'71'the International Exhibition for the equipment of car-workshops, garages and petrol stations, which takes place in connection with an exhibition of racing cars until 26th September in Frankfurt/Main
