Dec. 18, 1970 - Racing-driver Hans Stuck 70 years old: In front of all his cups (photo) Hans Stuck remembers all his former successes. On December 27th he can celebrate his 70th anniversary in his home in Obergrainau (Germany) - in the best of health. Hans Stuck, born in Freiburg, became active at the age of 22. He won his first race. Four years later he won the European mountain competition - after that his career started. From 1932 he was driver at Daimler-Benz, two years later he went to Auto-Union to drive one of the very quick Silberpfeil'. 1934 he won his first Grand-Prix in Germany. His starts and victories with Cisitalia, AFM and Porsche show his success. Even at the age of 55 he won his last Grand-Prix in Sao Paulo.1960 when he was again German mountain champion with a BMW he got also the mot important award for sport of the Federal Republic, the Silberlorbeer His last race - which he also won - was in 1962. Hans Stuck whose colleagues were Carraciola, Rosemeyer, Nuvolari and many other famous racing-drivers has had a marvellous career: 455 racing victories, 38 world records (in 1936 achieves top speed of 200 m/h), a European- and Alps-competition, champion of Europe in 1934, twelve times German champion and got the record of a motor-boat competition. Even today, at the age of 70, he is bound up with the car sport -and his now 19-year-old son will follow him - he has already been quits successful. (This photo was made on December 15th, 1970
