Oct. 25, 1971 - Jo Siffert Killed at Brands Hatch. The Famous Swiss racing driver Jo Siffert, 35, was killed when his BRM swerved off the track at 140 mph and burst into flames at Brands Hatch yesterday. The Race, The Victory Grand Prix in honour of World Champion Jackie Stewart was called off.
