Oct. 25, 1971 - Jo Siffert killed at Brands Hatch: The famous Swiss racing driver Jo Siffert, 35, was killed when his B.R.M. swerved off the track at 140 mph at Brands Hatch yesterday and burst into flames. The race the Victory Gran Prix in honor of world champion Jackie Stewart, was called off.
