Jul. 15, 1973 - American Peter Revson Wins The British Grand Prix After Re-Start To A Gigantic Pile-Up: After only one lep at the start of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, yesterday, the race has to be stopped to a gigantic pile-up. South African Judy Schekter lost control of his McLaren when a tyre burat, he smashed into a safety barrier opposites the grand stand with the recent of the field doing speeds of over 150 mph smashing 19 cars took part out of the original 29. The winner was American peter Revson driving his McLaren Ford, Second wasonnie Peterson off Sweden. and third Denny Hume of New Zealand./ Photo Shows Peter Revson gives a wave after winning the British Grand Prix at Sliverstone yesterday
