1976 - Joginder Singh Wins His Third East African Safari Motor Rally In Nairobi Joginder Singh, and David Doig, two Britons who live in Kenya, won the 3, 093-mile East African Safari motor rally in Nairobi from 15 other survivors of the original field of 65. It was Singh's third victory, a record for the rally. The event was also a triumph for the Japanese Lancer 1600 works team, who filled the first three places.
