Jul. 07, 1976 - Britain's Race ace Jame Hunt Wins the British Grand Prix at Brands Haton: Britain's race ace driver James Hunt, stormed at a controversial win the John Player British Gran Prix at Brands Haton, Kent, yesterday. His triumph came after he was involved in a five- car pile-up and there was a tense three-hour wait for Hunt while the stewards discussed protests from the rival teams who claimed he should be disqualified. Finally they ruled that Hunt was the winner. Yesterday's storm erupted after the big pile-up on the firs bend of the first lap.
