Aug. 08, 1976 - Swiss Racer Marc Surer was clinically dead: The most successful Swiss competitional driver Marc Surer appeared before the press on Wednesday in his home village of Eptingen/BL for the first time after his terrible accident on May 31 in the Hessen Rallye in Western Germany. For the first time Surer told journalist that for a critical period of time shortly after the accident he was declared clinically dead. Surer did not elaborate on his plans whether or not he would continue his racing career, but withing months, he said, he would be in perfect shape again
