Aug. 08, 1975 - Barry Sheene Takes The 750 cc Title At Silverstone: Barry Sheene, 24, swept to victory in the John Player British Grand Prix for the second successive year at Silverstone yesterday, and in so doing clinched the 750 cc European Championship. Shene powered his 750cc three-cylinder suzuki around 35 laps of the circuit at a race record speed of 108.99 mph in 56 minu 25.2 secs. He was challenged throughout the race by Barry Ditchburn, riding his 750cc kawasaki, who finished second
