Oct. 10, 1979 - Seventy years old would be on the 14 the October 1979 the famous German car-racer Bernd Rosemeyer - besides his contemporary Rudolf Caracciola one of the most popular driver of this time. Rosemary under took at first from 1931 - 1934 motor - cycle racing (there he was the winner of Hockenheim) - afterwards he was - from 1935 until his death 1938 - car -racer. He won several prices and titles, so the Gross Preis of germany, Italy, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia. two times the Eiffel-racing (1936- and 1937) he was 1936 the European champion as well as the German street - and mountain champion and set up several best times. During one of his record-testings he was killed in a car-accident on the motorway of Frankfurt/Darmstadt/west Germany. The racer was married with the famous flyer Elly beinhorn. our pictures Bernd Rosemeyer (1.) and M.v. Brauchitsch after their winning by the racing of the acerbic-cup
