Jun. 06, 1985 - Tour De Sol started in Switzerland: The first rally for solar energy-driven cars was started today 25th of June in Romanshorn/Switzerland, at the lake of Constance. 42 cars, some of them professionally built and sponsored, some handmade by private hobby-engineers took the first lap leading to Winterthur.
