Aug. 08, 1979 - David purley returns to the track : Racing driver David Purley, 34, will be returning to motor racing once again on Bank Holiday Monday Aug 27th when he takes part in the Fuji taps trophy race at brands Hatch. Two years ago on the same track the smashed bath his legs during practice for the British grand Prix. which put him out of motor racing until now, some years ago his he was awarded the George model for training to drag his friend and fallow racing drive roger Williamson from his burning car in the dutch grand Prix but he died they was in 1973. photo shows David purley seen in action at Brands Hatch during practice in his Formula one Lac Crp2
