Mountain Climber Hermann Buhl 1924 - 1957
Dec. 13, 1956 - Munich, Germany - FRITZ MORAVEC, born in Vienna, was the head of the Austrian expedition which climbed the 835 meters high Gasherbrum during the Himalaya-Karakorum expedition of 1956. When he arrived in Munich he met HERMANN BUHL (right in the picture) who also climbed mountains over 8000 meters and they drank a beer together
