Mountbatten women model jewellery for Trust Gala
Jun. 06, 1980 - Family Model For Mountbatten Trust Gala: Lady Romsey, whose husband is the heir to the Mountbatten title ; Lord Mountbatten's grand-daughter, Lady Joanna Knatchbull; and his niece by marriage, the Marchioness of Milford Haven, modelled some of the most important pieces in the 65 million 1980 House of Gerard collection to be shown at the Charity Gala in aid of Mountbatten Memorial Trust, at Annabel's Club, Hay's Mews, London, this evening, and also tomorrow and Wednesday. Lady Joanna Knatchbull wearing a Sapphire and diamond set has a solitaire sapphire as the centrepiece of the necklace of 110cts, earrings with sapphire of 80cts and a solitaire ring with a 40ct sapphire. the whole set is worth 1, 300, 000. The Marchioness of Milford Haven wearing a 107 carat diamond necklace worth over 5 million, and Lady Romsey wears a pair of emerald and diamond earrings, worth over 2 million, at the pre-view for the showing at the gala tonight
