May 05, 1970 - Miss Beautiful Eyes Goes to No 10 with a baby Elephant. Today is the start of the Eye Safety Fortnight organised by the British Safety Council. It is to draw attention to the need to wear correct eye protection at work so that many injuries can be prevented. Leading the campaign is lovely Linda Cunningham aged 17 from Ipwisch who was selected from over two thousand entrants as the girl with the most beautiful eyes in Britain Miss Beautiful Eyes'. This Morning Linda accompanied by a baby elephant Gosta 2 1/2 year old walked down the Whitehall to Downing Street where Miss Beautiful Eyes handed in an Eye Safety Charter for the Prime Minister at No. 10.
