Nov. 22, 1967 - Security Council Adopts Resolution On Middle East: The Security Council today unanimously adopted a resolution affirming that the establishment of a must and lasting peace in the Middle East should include the application of the following principles: (1) Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from terrorists occupied in the recent conflict; and (2) Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgment of the sovereigntyy, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts force. The resolution (S/8247) was submitted by the United Kingdom.
