Brian Rix Launches35, 000 Appeal For Anti-Smoking Campaign: Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), which was set up by the Royal College of Physicians last year, today launched an appeal at the College.235, 000 is required immediately to develop urgent research, particularly aimed at helping people to give up smoking, as well as educational programmes, primarily directed towards young people. Amongst those present were several non-smoking stars from the world of entertainment.
