May 05, 1974 - New Salvation Army General Elected; Commissioner Clarence Wiseman, of Toronto, has been elected as the Salvation Army's new General by its International HIgh Council meeting in Surrey. Commisioner Wiseman, 66, and present head of the Canadian and Bermuda operations will assume command on July 6th from the retiring General Erik Wickberg, a Swede.
