Dec. 18, 1972 - December 18th, 1972 Young Liberals launch Hypothermia campaign The Young Liberals this morning launched a special Christmas campaign to focus public attention on the plight of old people who die from hypothermia. Local Young Liberal branches have already been talking action, in support of the campaign, as part of a drive to give a new deal to old age pensioners. The Young Liberals claim that during the six winter months of each year, 60, 000 people die from the cold; the vast majority of these people are elderly.
