Jan. 06, 1981 - Peter Sutcliffe on Ripper Murder Charge; Peter WilliamSutoliffe, 35, a long distance lorry-driver of Garden Lane, Heaton, Bradford, was accused at Dewsbury court of murdering Jacqueline Hill, a Leeds University student, found dead on waste ground in the City in November. Sutcliffe was arrested last Friday night in Sheffield by anti-vice police patrol as he was seated in his VB rover talking to a prostitute. It was found that his car had false number plates, and after his arrest a hammer and a knife was found in the roadway. Miss Hill was the last of the so called Yorkshire Ripper Murders.
