Mrs Slim unveils plaque to late husband, St Paul's Cathedral

Feb. 29 April 24th 1976 Plaque unveiled in memory of the late Field Marshal Sir William Slim at St. Paul's Cathedral A plaque to the memory of the late Field Marshal Sir William Bill Slim was unveiled by his widow in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, this afternoon. The address was read by Earl Mountbatten of Burma, and about 2000 members of the Burma Star Association attended the service. Their standards lined the steps outside the cathedral.
