Sep. 21, 1955 - Prime Minister to make statement on Spies Riddle.: It has been announced that Sir Anthony Eden is to make a statement on the riddle concerning the Burgess and Maclean Spy ease. Donald Maclean and Guy Burgess - Foreign Office Official disappeared in 1951 - and a sensation has been created by the Foreign Office statement that officials were aware of the fact that they were spies before their disapperance. Photo shows Mrs. Streatfield who was housekeeper to the Maclean family - and who says she was sure Mrs. Maclean knew all the secrets when her husband disappeared. She herself disappeared later
