Mrs Szewczik nee Mueller return to Germany
February 15, 1953 - Last wish of a German emigrant fulfilled. A wealthy Australian made it possible for a woman born in Germany to go home to her home country by giving her the sum of 530 Australian pounds. Thus she was able to give her two children to her parents and can die in her home country. The now Mrs. Szewczik nee Mueller emigrated in 1949 to Sydney(Australia). Some months go she fell severely ill. In spite of several operations the physicians thought she will die in a few weeks. Her mother, Mrs. Leni Mueller at Herzogenaurach, Middle-Frankonia, heard the news from an Australian newspaper as her daughter did not tell her the true reason for her return. Mrs. Szewczik will probably arrive by plane at Nuremberg on February, 15th, 1953. (Credit Image: (c) Keystone Pictures USA/ZUMAPRESS.com/Mary Evans)
