Mummified body of James, Earl of Bothwell
Jun. 20, 1977 - A Burial for an Exiled Earl who has been dead for 400 years. Queen Margarethe of Denmark has ordered that the third husband of Mary Queen of Scots should receive a proper burial, nearly 400 years after his death. The mummified body of James, Earl of Bothwell, who married Mary in 1567, has been on display in a glass case at the Faarevejle church in north-west Zealand.
