Mar. 03, 1954 - Cairo Junta Order Elections: Aly Maher, former Egyptian Premier, who was arrested on British instructions in 1942, said last night that the Revolutionary Council will be replaced by an elected Parliament. He said that full-scale elections were being arranged for June, and a democratic Parliament will assume the functions of government on July 23 - the second anniversary of the Army coup which deposed Farouk.
