Oct 20, 1973; Brighton, England, UK; Part of the famous Brighton Pier crashed into the sea after being hit by a barge that had broken loose from it's mooring. the barge, which was being used by workmen helping to demolish the pier's landing stage, was blown against the pier by gale-force winds on October 2oth, 1973. No one was hurt
