The Chef Gets Moving: Preparations are going ahead at Chatham for the Navy Days to be held there next week to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Royal Naval Barracks. Many interesting things are to be seen including demonstrations of how personnel fight burning aircraft - mock gun battles between a dummy cruiser and a destroyer - mock battles between boarding parties and pirates etc. Photo shows Complete with his Chef Cap on his head - this Naval Chef runs off from a burning galley stove after demonstrating the effect of a cup of water thrown over a pan of boiling fat - during the Navy Day rehearsal at Chatham today
