Jan. 01, 1955 - The Mercy Missions Continue. Helicopter Lands on Flight Deck Of HMS Glory. Navy helicopters and RAF aircraft have been carrying out their Mercy Missions over the desolate wastes of snow covered Sutherland, Scotland for some days now. They have been carrying food and supplied to the snowbound villages. The aircraft have been their only form of contact with the outer world.
