Jan. 01, 1956 - Needlework Of Mary Queen Of Scots, Of Display... The Oxburgh Hangings: The Oxburgh Hangings- presented to the Victoria and Albert Museum by the National Art Collections Fund in 1953 - have been undergoing repair for the past two years - and are now on display at the Museum. The hangings are the work of Mary, Queen OF Scots and Elizabeth, Countess Of Shrewsbury (Bess of Hardwick) - done while the queen was in the custody of the earl of Shrewsbury at Tutbury Castle (1569).
