Aug. 08, 1973 - Bank Gunman In Stockholm Surrenders. Jan-Erik Olsson, the 32-year old gunman who held four people - three women and a man - hostage for six days in a Stockholm bank, surrendered after police had drilled holes in the vault where he had taken refuge with his hostages.
