New British jeep demonstrated on Alpine Course

Jul. 07, 1950 - New British Jeep Demonstrated At Bagshot. Keeps Running Under Water. Britain's new four cylinder, 80 brake horsepower Jeep of revolutionary character was demonstrated on the Alpine Course at Bagshot Heath. The new Jeep is bigger and broader than the American Jeep and is designed for the engine to go on running under water when landing from a landing craft. The new machine will probably be available to India, Pakistan and other countries for local manufacture.
