New building for BBC at Shepherd's Bush, West London
Nov. 11, 1957 - New Building For TV's Coming Of Age: This month the celebrating the 21st anniversary of World's first public high-definition television service which began on November 2, 1936/ AT the same time there is growing on a 13-acre site at Shepherds Bush, London, a new center for B.B.C. television. Picture shows Top Model of the new B.B.C. Building with the TV Section indicated in white. It will be a 9-floor ring structure enclosing a court of about 150ft. in diameter. Production departments will be on the lower floors and offices will be on the upper. Bottom: the TV center under construction
