New Cunard cruise liner Q4
1967 - Q4 Secrets Revealed As Model is Unveiled: The shape, colours other details of the new Cunarder were revealed for the first time today when Chairman Sir Basil Smallpiece unveiled a scale model of the ship at the Riverside Promenade, Royal Festival Hall this afternoon. A similar function was taking place in New York at the same time. Q4 is due for launching by the Queen on September 20th. Among those present were Cunard's naval architect Dan Wallace and technical director Takemcan, together with exterior designer James Gardner. The model is five feet long.
