Feb. 29 New giant Sunrider takes shape: The birth of a new liner is a complex and long drown out process, involving thousands of workers each engaged on a specialist job. John Brown shipyards at Glasgow are renowned for having constructed many a well-known liner, and from their slipway-now occupied by the new Cunarder, the famous Queen have been launched. The new liner has been under construction since 1955 and will be completed by 1983 November 1968. So far 6000 tons of steel have been installed and many more will be required before completion date.
