Dec. 12, 1964 - The exhibition of Royal Armour - at Tower of London.: To be opened to the public tomorrow (8th) is the new exhibition of royal Armour - principally that of Henry VIII - and claimed to be the best display of Royal armour in Britain - at the newly repaired Horse Armouries - at the Tower of London. Photo shows only this grotesque helmet survives from a parade presented to King Henry VIII by the Emperor Maximilian I. When it left the Emperor's Court Workshops in Innsbruck, where it was made by Conrad Seusenhofer in 1514, the sunken bands were filled by decorative strips of silver filt
