New field howitzer at Royal School of Artillery, Salisbury

Sep. 09, 1976 - The International acceptance of the FH70 155 MM field Howitzer at the Royal School of Artillery, Larkhill: There was a demonstration today of the FH70 155mm field Howitzer at the Royal School of Artillery at Larkhill, Salisbury. The FH70 project started as a bilateral agreement between the UK and Germany in 1966. A memorandum of understanding was signed in 1968 and development commenced that year. In 1969 Italy joined the project and though not responsible for any development costs will share in production. The development costs were 30 million and each gun costs 300, 000.
