New Greek government under George Papandreou

Feb. 02, 1964 - New Prime Minister Papandreou, takes oath of office. The newly elected Greek Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister George Papandreou took the oath of office before King Paul at the Tatoi Palace. This is the first time that such a ceremony has been held at the Royal Palace instead of the Parliaments buildings, and it has been said that the reason for this is that King Paul is recovering from two successive crisis, leaving him to some extent paralyzed.
