Aug. 08, 1973 - New look for Carnaby Street : One of London's famous tourist attractions Carnaby Street. is being given a new look by Westminister City Council. black, yellow, white and orange tiles are being laid to add colour, and the scheme includes making the area a permanent pedestrian precinct. photo shows view of Carnaby street, showing the gaily coloured tiles. The scheme is expected to be completed towards the end of September
