New radio telescope Mark II at Jodrell Bank
Jun. 05, 1964 - New radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. Recording signals from the Constellation Cassiopeia. The new 300, 000 radio telescope the Mark II was to be seen at Jodrell Bank yesterday. It has a moveable elliptical dish 125 feet in diameter which gives greater range than the 250 feet Mark I which has been in operation since 1957.
